RATEC OCTOBER LUPP CUP TRIAL RESULTS
Doug Good organised a complex trial that kept all crews on their toes. CRI`s had to be done in descending numerical order meaning you did the last instruction first. This was soon rectified by a Manned Check.
U-turns at X-Boards and Check Codes to be done at intersections kept the crews thinking, thinking, thinking. Unfortunately, Doug forgot to put up an X-Board and missed a D code off a check board, but otherwise was a well-organised devious trial.
This was a sterling organisational effort on Doug`s part as he was flying solo on the night, putting up & taking down the Check Boards as well doing the Manned Check.
Congratulations to Peter & Dwight on taking the win.
1st Peter Flewellen & Dwight Parlane with 246 points
2nd Allan Coker, Nic Jones, & Mark Wederall with 354 points

THE KYB SHOCK ABSORBERS LITTLE RIVER HILLCLIMB
The morning of Sunday 28th September dawned fine and clear meaning a good days racing for most of the field for the 22 starters.
This was not the case for Nic Jones (Sentra) and Mark Higgins (Evo) as they never made it much further than the start line on the first run with mechanical problems.
The only other casualties were Paul Price crashing his RX7 on Run 3. Robert Stocker`s Celica GT4 had a mechanical issue on Run 4 resulting in a DNF.
Rick Matheson spun on at least 2 of the 4 runs, just having too much power for a 2WD RX7. James Marshall also had a spin on Run 2 resulting in a DNF after hitting the bank. He managed to get going again, leaving his Impreza`s bumper on the course.
Carl Vaughan had some mechanical issues and did not start Run 3 and was seen tinkering under the bonnet of his Evo 7.
Thanks to KYB Shock Absorbers for their sponsorship of this event and to all those who helped on the day.
Results for this event can be found here.
